The gut is the most susceptible part of the body for infection according to Dr. Galland who btw is a great Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome doctor with an emphasis on GI as a contributing factor of CFS. See mdheal.org for his great articles.

parasites are great disruptors of the bowel ecology so you could make a point that the candida proliferated because of parasites. Of course each case is different.

parasite testing is notorious for being faulty. This is admitted by infectious disease doctors and the like.
