Short fasts equal muscle loss?

Seems like a lot of people are saying that you get into ketosis only after 3 days. And that before that, only muscles are used up?

I don't have the luxury of staying at home for 1 or 2 weeks doing nothing. Short fasts is the only way it could happen for me. But losing muscle is just really bad in the long run.
