ive only been doing this for 2 days in a row (we've had a bunch of cloudy weather)
but i wanted to share my results so far:
in my most recent blood test i had a low vitamin D reading (21.20).. so I had some vitamin D capsules of 5,000 IUs and I was starting to take some decent sized doses (20,000IUs) for a day or 2, but didnt notice much of a difference, so I decided to go for a walk yesterday as it was sunny and basically strip down to shorts and just take in the sunlight to obtain vitamin D naturally.
Well I was surprised when my heart rate went up to 110bpm.
Today I went earlier in the morning and my pulse went up to about 100bpm.
normally my pulse rate would be in the 60s, and I am NOT in athletic condition by any means.
as I write this its over 10 hrs since I came back from the sun and my BPM is still around 80.
Ive learned that low vitamin D is common in hypothyroid people, but I am starting to think the vitamin D itself while being an indicator may not be the answer.. the answer may be something else in the sunlight.
Ive also read its known that farm animals kept outside have a hard time gaining weight, while animals housed indoors gain weight easily.. so as it may be with humans.
I wanted to share this information so others could do their own experiments and relate their own personal findings.
