Sorry but you are only half right.

Iodine by itself can indeed be devastating to the thyroid and can cause hashimotos, a thyroid storm and even hyperthyroid. That is why we don't take Iodine by itself.

When you take Iodine with the correct co-supplements as prescribed by Dr. Brownstein, then you are mistaken.

Iodine is very safe and beneficial to our health when taken with the required co-supplements. The most important co-supplement is Selenium.
