I have been stuggling even with some medical help finally with tape worm infection (over 6 years) - still taking Biltricide and Albenza. Just recently taken at same time. Had been on stromectol but taken off. I have been battling Giardia for the past year and it was getting worse despite medications. I have been working with a vet who is the only one that looks at stool samples under microscope and has good knowledge of parasites in my area. He has off record recommended Corid as what he uses for animals. Given that I use the right dosage, is this safe for humans in general. I was given the standard top 3 Giardia Rx but in all cases it got worse or came right back. I also still have skin cysts (under my skin) leftover from the initial Tapeworm infection where I got no help for a considerable period of time because no doctor would believe me - one finally did but they were afraid to use too much medication as I had my colon removed after toxicmegacolon some years before due to chrons. I am also curous if people with chrons or extensive bowel surgery have any different prognosis or needs when it comes to parasitic infections. I have to intubate which means super-sanitary conditions which is another big hurdle - I soak all equipment with clorox and then use a hospital grade disinfectant. Any help with any of these issues is appreciated. I have always been optimistic but I am getting really tired of all the meds off and on and still disabled and in pretty bad health and the medical care I was receiving is going to be stopped shortly because of the physician retiring. Thanks in advance.
