ICU-Thanks so much for replying. I do have severe clostridia issues (several species) and it was thought that was all I had. Having treated the clostridia several times, my gut and liver issues continued and even got worse and the clostridia returned. It was then I tested for parasites. Initially only found Blastocystis Hominis, which is bad enough, but later found Trematodes and other amoebas after my eosinophils went sky high and my folate levels tanked. So I do have the whole litany of intestinal infections. My doctor has suggested Doxycycline only but won't write an Rx for the other two as he is unfamiliar with them. I believe just treating the bacteria with Doxy once again and ignoring the parasites is only making things worse and contributing to a downward spiral. I really appreciate the detailed dosing suggestions as a lot of us are flying in the dark with these infections due to lack of physicians' knowledge in treating properly. The links for purchase are also very helpful. One question: in the case of liver flukes with impaired metabolism and detox pathways, did you, or others, find the drug protocol was very difficult to handle? Is the use of binders - clay, charcoal, zeolite etc. and enzymes for biofilms helpful? And lastly, do you think herbal only protocols ever work? Thanks again for all your knowledge and wisdom.
