Re: Why i use iodine :0

low level lithium intake is neuroprotective, calming of mood (without the flattening effect of antidepressants), indicated for anxiety disorders, etc. It is in a similar location on the table of the elements with Magnesium, and it help keep Iodine from overloading the thyroid.

I use lithium aspartate instead of orotate because the orotate is a component of breastmilk and milk.. it slows down mitochondrial function and I find it makes me really sleepy and weird.

I was able to do good on little shavings of Li Orotate off of a 5mg tablet, but I feel a bit more alert on Li Aspartate.

Dangers of Li (seen from the way it's used by western medicine, in supersaturation therapy)
Lithium displaces Iodine from the thyroid, and depletes strontium reserves in the body (can contribute to osteoeperosis and joint pains/aches) .. My mom has been on lithium carbonate in up to 1gram doses for bipolar disorder.

Strontium is a mineral that maintains bone density, among other helping activities, but it is a very, very trace mineral (only to be used in tiny doses), like lithium, or vanadium.
