Re: The error of Lordship salvation

Yes our confidence is in the promise that God gave us, that if we believe we will be saved. However I don't believe that God chooses me against my freewill. I believe that I can back out of my end of the relationship if I so choose. I'm not saved against my freewill. I do believe God knows who will be His because He is all knowing.

The position of Calvinism or Armenianism is somewhat in all christian beliefs however, whether they realize it or not. My beliefs are somewhat in the middle of the two...and other people's beliefs may fall either somewhat further to one side or another.

It is my opinion based on scripture that either extreme is not good.

I have never seen any pastor believe like paul washer does yet it is stated that he is a calvinist. You posted something against it right? Because he sounded like he was into works, right? No calvinist I have ever heard of believes in works salvation. I'm trying to straighten this out in my mind before moving any further into this conversation. In case you are not understanding my deeper digging here it is because Washer is more like an extreme Armenian position. It has nothing to do with you or your beliefs, I'm just trying to figure out this strange mixture of beliefs he has....and why people label him a calvinist.

Perhaps I'm not making my point well enough. If not, I apologize to everyone.
