Re: Joyce Meyer - Trusting God When You Dont Understand
Vektek, you are condemning me for a message taught by a man that I have not even heard. I think I have made it clear on this forum that I don't agree with a whole lot of preachers and that includes preachers in the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement. So you are totally being unfair to me there.
The Bible is clear that Jesus healed all who came to Him for healing. He was always willing. He never turned one person down. I believe Jesus wants to heal all of us. That is His heart. I believe He wants to heal you and that lady in the wheelchair that you quote a lot. I can't think of her name now.
It is true that He heals as He wills and that is not every time we say a prayer. There are things going on in the spirit realm that we do not see. We are in a spiritual battle. It would be impossible for me to give an exact reason why a certain person is not healed instantly. It could be any number of reasons. Maybe the Lord wants that person to seek Him more. Maybe it is lack of faith. Maybe it is not the right timing for another purpose. If Jesus did not want to heal, the Bible would not encourage elders to pray for the sick. God moves by prayer and faith. If God did not want to heal the Bible would instead say, "Don't pray for the sick."
I'll just continue praying for Refreshed. Whether He chooses to give her an instant healing or to heal her gradually that is up to Him. Perhaps if I or someone else had enough faith, we could pray for her to get an instant healing.
