Digestive Enzymes, Betaine HCL

MH,

A popular item now to take with foods is digestive enzymes and betaine hcl for people with low stomach acid.

Is it true that long term usage of digestive enzymes actually make your pancrease stop making its own enzymes and your stomach will actually stop making its own stomach acid because of dependancy on the supplements?

It seems like they might be of some aid when your digestion is really off, but you should be able to wean off?

OR take natural herbs/bitters to stimulate enzyme production?

I have read that liver flushing the bile ducts will assist the pancrease in producing enzymes again and clogged bile ducts are often the underlying issue.

Thanks
