EDTA forms neurotoxic compounds with mercury, according to Cutler, and should never be used unless mercury toxicity can be ruled out.

Are you having trouble with DMSA or ALA or both? DMSA can cause low count of white blood cells in some people, in which case they can only rid themselves of lead using EDTA.

Are you sure that this is not what you have?
