Yes, I though his idea for the book was great too. And you could tell by all of the responses he received so quickly, that it is really something people were having deep feelings about which were mostly pretty dismal.
Your approach sounds promising. I think for me it is best if I develop at least a friendly ongoing relationship with someone first. I'll tell them about the little miracles God does, or Christian books I am reading, just start letting the things I naturally like to talk about come out. I find that it is always just me as an instrument. The Holy Spirit has been preparing them and creating a hunger for this type of knowledge and experience in them already. I am not always the last stop on their way to Salvation either. Often, I may plant the seed (especially if I don't know them well) and someone else may do the watering and nurturing. Like you said it is always different.
Now this video is a little different because he is a pastor, but I like the gentle and sweet way he handles it.
