Re: New to iodine supplements

Hi, about the thyroid-inflammation connection, the gut. Wombat just posted it in a thread below.
http://chriskresser.com/the-thyroid-gut-connection

"The headaches occurred after the 3rd day of upping the Iodine to 450mcgs and continue (4 days now). Do my combinations look right? What is the best method to deal with the headaches"

The headaches; salt works the best, real salt, like himalayan or some other full spectrum salt (=60 or more minerals, trace minerals)

your dose of Iodine is very low, under 0.5 mg. I recommend to proceed to 50-100 mg.

From your supplement list;
magnesium: 250mg vit D: 500IU
calcium: 630mg indole-3-carbinol

-this is far too much calcium vs magnesium. The vit D will further contribute to an imbalance, as it contribute to the uptake of calcium. You get a calcium overload; this is very related to arthritis.
