Re: Have Adrenal Fatigue? No You Don't.

Very interesting. Now I'm not totally convinced either way. First of all there is a very good possibility that what natural health practitioners are calling Adrenal Fatigue is something else other than Adrenal Insufficiency. The way that stress effects the body can be quite unique and vary based on constitution, activity, environment, job, nutrition etc. However, to state nutrition as the only input is probably a mistake.
There is also a tendency, and I sensed this in the article, that the medical establishment recognizes what they know only. This is fair though because if there is another condition it needs to be established and researched.
The other possible bias speaks to the point that the medical community does not recognize chronic subclinical imbalances nor do they actively, as a collective seek to prevent or treat subclinical imbalances.

Modern humans stay in flight or fight mostly because of synthetic stressors that simply come with our conveniences, technology and work flow. This causes the adrenals to be more engaged than they have been in human history. This constant release of cortisol and flooding of glucose would in fact negatively effect the Adrenal/Pituitary/Thyroid axis. Causing one or more of these glands to be overworked or suppressed in their duties.
What name we call this if it is not Adrenal Fatigue might be less important than the existence of the issue but using the scientific method to verify any of this is the most responsible thing.
For these types of studies to be done. The medical research community must have some type of incentive for researching preventive measure that MIGHT NOT LEAD TO A BILLION DOLLAR DRUG. It must be looked into simply for the good of our fellow man.
