I am not a professional but I have had at least 70% of those symptoms, so, I'll give you my understanding of what he is going through from my own experience. It is possible that there are some lingering physiological effects from drug/alcohol abuse (hallucinations), but are probably not irreversible with good health and the Liver Flush. The rest of his Depression is probably only "attitudinal". His general attitude is what he learned in childhood (mistreated in school, belittled and ridiculed by teachers, fellow students and friends resulting in bad self image). He experienced what is "BAD" and, so, learned to LOVE "GOOD", in other words, he is an Idealist (he loves what is good and right and true), and is not easily impressed, so, when he's at parties, he behaves as though he is bored (if he is recieved with respect, he will be interested in "intelligent conversation"). He is also conscientious (good worker) and will tend to be a workaholic (allowing him to be successful at something, and it creates "order" in his daily life where he has "control", this is why he only really feels comfortable with "routine"). He must have "CONTROL" for his own personal "order" to exist and will become moody if that order is disrupted. He is not simply LOGICAL, he REASONS things to be right according to his own way.

Without knowing any other details, it would seem that his main problem is only that his characteristics are not socially appropriate, and not just makes him FEEL "out of place", but makes him "BE" out of place (he LIVES his FEELINGS). He could change his attitudes by exploring his interests in life (hobbies, library books and videos, competition activities like Chess, crossword puzzles, or anything else he could excel at), but, health is a tremendous factor in Depression also. Vitamins, minerals, and even the right amount of water every day (half your body weight in ounces) could be enough to ALLOW his body to feel "comfortable" (it might even help him to overcome some of those hallucinations). He cannot be "truly" healed by someone else (he is a "non-conformist"), only he can do that (if he understands himself). Little by little, in your discretion, explain to him all of this, he'll take it from there (nobody likes to be transparent and predictable, so, be tactful). Everything I wrote here is from my personal experience. At the top of this page, click on ALL FORUMS, check out THE Water Cure FORUM, Liver Flush Forum and probably the most immediate benefit would be from the juicing FORUM.
