Re: Stomach going crazy, no matter what I eat.

A lot of people don't realize that fungal candida prefers an alkaline environment. Fungus in general prefers an alkaline environment over an acidic environment.  "Acid"dophilus produces certain acids that inhibit the yeast form of candida turning into its fungal state. Over alkalizing can cause many problems just as being too acidic. Some of these books go from one extreme to another. Eating an over alkaline diet can lead to digestive issues because it interfers with the beneficial acids(HCl,acetic acid, butyric acid etc...) in our stomach and Gi tract....been there done that. Balance is the key-- not too alkaline or acidic. A lot of these overalkalizing substances should not be taken with food because it can interefere with the HCL in the stomach. I went on this over alkalize craze a long time ago and it lead to bad constipation and indigestion. This was when I had no health issues at the time. Humans are not designed to take excessive grasses( green powders), calcium pills, bicarbonates, etc.....

Its more complex than whether our body is too acidic or not. The chemicals and drugs in our environment all have a unique effect on our body chemistry and how it functions. Its not just a case of  something being acidic or not.
