Re: Mirena side effects
I'm glad the IUD is out for you and that it's over :)
I bled off and on after the procedure for a few days, but I think that was from the removal, not hormonal. I think I had a regular period about 3 weeks later and have been pretty regular for the last 4 years, although my cycles are very heavy for the first couple days and then taper off sharply. I rarely have a full week of bleeding, which was never normal for me before the IUD. I am 42, so perhaps I'm perimenopausal as well.
I do have rough times where my dizziness/spacey head feeling comes back, along with pain in my wrists and some other joints, some muscle twitching, vibration in strange body parts. But even these are not as bad as they were years ago. I have entire days where I feel 90% back to normal. Most days are 75%-80% normal. So I can't complain to much. I truly felt I was at death's door 4 years ago, so I can live with this. Hard exercise keeps my symptoms more at bay. I haven't been able to exercise much for the last few months since school started for me, and I think that's why I'm not feeling as strong.
Of course, if you are interested in my earlier symptoms (or anyone else's), you can find them and read them here on this site.
Just keep doing the things you are doing and be patient. Don't be alarmed if new symptoms pop up or you have worsening of symptoms after feeling better. This is so hard to deal with, but so normal for us. I was tested in my first year for lupus and MS because I felt like I had both, and even my Dr. thought it was those.
I did use an herbal supp that I liked that I feel helped: Adrenal Tonic by Mountain Mist Botanicals. You can order it on ebay if you want to try it. I also recommend their Super Ginkgo Green for general health. I need to get back on them both!
Take care!!!
