Re: the gun in my closet

I am not a professional of any kind, but I have grown up with Depression and suicidal feelings. If you're in high school, then I'm probably about 3 times as old as you, so I've also heard a lot of stories. People have suicdal feelings, not because they are mentally unbalanced and something is wrong with them, people have suicidal feelings and get depressed because they feel uncomfortable with all of the pain, misery, suffering, lying, cheating, corruption, hatred, etc. that goes on in this world. It takes more than intelligence to see all of that instead of be distracted by all of the nicey-nice commercials on T.V., it takes a kind of wisdom that you don't learn in school or from books (DON'T let this go to your head). You have suicidal feelings, not because something is wrong with you, no, the exact opposite is true. It doesn't mean that suicide is good, no, suicide is not the solution to anything, it is the end of everything. I know pressures pile up and life doesn't seem worth it, but the reason it doesn't seem worth it, is that you are ignoring and neglecting your interests in life. If you think about all of the things in life that you could know more about, you will discover that you are interested in a lot of things that you have been ignoring (go to the library and discover all of the things that interest you, borrow videos. A lot of Depression (probably about 90% of it) comes from bad health. If you are not lactose-intolerant, drink a half gallon of milk everyday so that you get enough protein (milk is one of the best foods for protein, if not THE best, almost 1 gram per ounce, like cottage cheese). Energy is important in how sluggish we feel, so eat raw crystallized honey (has the texture of honey, but tastes like candy and has vitamins, minerals, enzymes and nutrients ($5.00 a week). You may think that talk about "candy", energy, protein and interest in life sounds strange, but, take it from me, it's not. There is even something that armies have to take into consideration or else they can very easily lose a war, it's called MORALLE. Yes, as well trained as soldiers are, they can very easily lose their spirit if their interests are ignored and their health is ignored. My advice would be to stay away from medications completely (dangerous side effects). They are more likely to cause you to do what you shouldn't, no matter what anybody says. Go with the HEALTHY solution.
