THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your well-detailed answer. This gave me a lot of hope and reassurance. I also appreciate many of the other answers. I think that we will take his blood pressure every morning as soon as he wakes up and go from there. If it's getting too high, we can always start a lighter juice fast like the other replies were suggesting.

A lot of what you are saying makes sense. Maybe his body not absorbing the meds IS a good thing cause he's basically weaning off. I read him your post and stressed how important what he eats after the fast is. I don't ever want him to go back to his old ways. Hopefully he can transition into juices after the Water Fast and then veggies and fruits and nuts. I'm very hopeful. I also like that his body will absorb nutrients better after the fast.

I'm going to check his blood pressure in the morning and get back to you to let you know what it is and what day of his fast it is and see your thoughts.
