Re: feeling absolutely broken

I play chess and am somewhat of a "STRATEGIST", so I've come to realize and appreciate it's (martial arts) wisdom of the stategy to "redirect the force" of the opposition. Since that is a wisdom based on defense, I don't believe that that wisdom should be confined to conflicts of "physical" violence, but it can be used in "emotional" conflicts also. It doesn't prevent attacks, but, it can make us stronger. I wrote four poems the summer before last (the first in 35 years), but, ever since then, I haven't been able (or, at least don't think I'm able) to write anymore poems, YET. Nobody really knows for sure what writer's block is, it probably has a dozen causes, but the poems I wrote were almost unintentional. What I mean is,...I sat down to try and write something that would resemble a poem, but had no idea of any topic or subject matter. I almost just started writing any word that had any meaning in my life, and, to my surprise, they ended up making SENSE. The poems were actually a SURPRISE. All I had to do is make the pen the extension of my thoughts, and the paper started filling with whatever poured out of me. You can write, don't convince yourself you can't (I should take my advice). Don't be a time traveller and only observe life, don't think that life is a GAME. Life is not a game, it is a JOY. Don't be an observer, be a participant, but don't forget, the stage lights are shining on you, because, you are not simply a PARTICIPANT,...you are it's...
