To be more specific, nicotine from smoking causes the liver to release a large amount of glycogen into the blood stream. This causes your blood Sugar levels to increase. So your body calls on your pancreas to release a high dose of insulin to bring you Sugar level down. When this drops, you start craving another cigarette to bring your blood Sugar back up, and so on and so on..
Candida's main source of fuel is sugar. It what it lives for! You have to keep your sugar levels at normal levels to prevent a yeast overgrowth. Too high a blood sugar level will cause a yeast overgrowth.
The constant ‘yo-yo effect’ of your blood sugar level going up & down will also cause an increase in cravings for carbs & sugar which of course will feed your yeast.
