i forage for wild mushrooms all summer and fall and sell them to local restaurants. i love them, but since starting my candida battle, have avoided them.
i recently found a huge load of maitake. i have always read that they are incredible for your body, and boost the immune system like nothing else.
i know that mushrooms are generally a no-no on the diet, but giving the medicinal properties of the maitake, do you think it would be an acceptable, and even beneficial, addition to my diet?
i would love to sit down to a nice plate of mushrooms ever once in a while.
