Hi everyone. I have started pulling with a combination of black seed and sesame (1/3 nigella to 2/3 sesame) and it is AMAZING! The list of vitamins and minerals in this oil is more than impressive and it is meant to be great for inflammations. It contains over 100 vital nutrients!!! It is supposed to have a calming effect on the nervous system, improve digestion and help with a number of ailments from a tooth ache and headache to Arthritis or asthma.
I like the taste, but it is a bit bitter and gargling with soda helps to get rid of the greasy aftertaste. I probably would not pull with this oil on its own, too strong, but a mix with sesame makes it a perfect oil for pulling. And as someone said at this forum, it kills everything but death, so great for all the infections.
It may be that I reached some plateau with my pulling, but adding this oil made me feel extra light and happy out after pulling. Not to mention an even more amazing clean feel in my mouth.
Since I started oil pulling at the beginning of August i have not had any infections in my throat - I used to get them all the time. Nothing serious but my throat used to get sore every couple of weeks. Last week was very busy for me and i only managed to pull for 5-10 minutes a day for several consecutive days. For these who still need to know whether shorter pulling is ok - it is, but it is way inferior to 20 mins pulls. After a few days of this shortened pulls i started waking up with blocked sinuses and a heavier feel in my head. I used to feel like this every morning - and it goes away after a pull with my new black oil, and a few exercises to get my upper lymphs flowing again. I have a few days off this week and I will see how it feels to do a few pulls a day, maybe 3-4 in the row...
