The number one cause of the no-start condition in riding lawnmowers are all the inter-lock devices to protect you from yourself. The safety Nazis might soon even require a device that prevents texting while mowing. Most mowers right now won't even mow in reverse as if you were to stupid to look behind yourself first. All these interlocks are nothing more than switch that needs to be either open or closed for it to work, cut the wires and either cross them or separate them, common sense is the best safety device anyway.
