debunking communion
communion is nothing more than a tradition of men.
1 John 2:18
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
both john and paul were having tremendous problems trying to communicate with the new converts to the good news. i am loathe to use the word convert because as is seen in the epistles, those people were having a hard time changing their minds(repenting).
it is clearly stated that jesus is the only begotten son of god, born of a woman. the first christ, adam, was literally formed by the hands of god from the dust of the ground. all subsequent sons of god had for themselves an earthly father, except for jesus christ.
in order for a person to become a son of god after christ one had(has) to be grafted into the vine. a grafted branch gets its nourishment from the main vine. this is the type and shadow which is also seen in what is called the eucharist(thanksgiving). there is no way the flesh can please god, neither is becoming a son of god being facilitated by eating bread.
the new covenant was made for all. christ died for the sins of the whole world, past present and future. the good news is that sin is no longer the issue. and yet, since sinners are loathe to repent and give up their sins they must do something to salve their consciences(which are finally seared off in that heat of greed and lust) for which they can get confirmation, not from god(for they remain estranged from him) but from outward appearance and other men.
so in their frustration of not actually understanding and in the fervor of a new religion, these folk such as polycarp opted for form over substance and created a fantasy out of sound doctrine. the fantasy being transubstantiation.
jesus says that what goes into a man cannot make him unclean. logic dictates that what goes in through the mouth cannot make one clean as well. in fact he basically says its all shoved out the tube in the end anyway. the real action is ALWAYS internal.
the actions of jesus at the last supper was a public proposal of marriage. the consumation of this marriage happens in private. as jesus instructed, go into your inner room and close the door and we can eat of his things and he will eat of our things. this creates the fertilized egg which will result in the son of man being formed inside of a person. it is this process which john refers to:
1 John 2:22
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1 John 4:3
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2 John 1:7
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
this is how the lord returns. his presence(parousia) or coming is inside of people. this is how every eye will behold him, for the lord has his people everywhere and in every group. most people cant tell them from any other person. it hasnt a damn thing to do with television or other such nonsense.
what is an idol but a false image of god? so why all of this talk of idols to the corinthians and the churches in galatia(turkey)?
Revelation 2:14
But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
Revelation 2:20
Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
1 Corinthians 8:4
As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
well, in their fervor to partake in salvation and being resistant to truly repenting, the early church externalized the words of paul and began doing what every voodoo witchcraft pagan ceremony ever did and that was to conjure up their own god with magic.
and magic works. the priests in egypt were able to match aaron miracle for miracle, up to a point. people are able to create spirits all by themselves. people are, obviously, created in the image and likeness of the creator. these things are as real as they want them to be. they can be seen and heard and felt. but they are not of god. they are of the flesh, which will perish, and them with it.
having some kind of emotional experience is totally of the flesh. the spirit has no such function. it is mental and emotional self-gratification, pure and simple. the flesh is emnity toward the spirit. feeding the flesh with food or drink or ritual or sex is never going to please god. to think so is an abomination. this is what paul warns timothy of: "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:"
