The thing is a can't tolerate dairy and water kefir is impossible to come by.
The reason I even started with water kefir is because I'm afraid of the goitrogens found in cabbage, I'm hypothyroid, probably caused by candida/sibo. But do you think the sugar is the only problem or can the yeast in the water kefir grains also be problematic if they take over and produce alcohol in the body?
Btw, do you know if the goitrogens are neutrilized? Some studies say that the fermentation increases the goitrogens.
