Re: Just started, bit of an issue?
You might consider a homeopathic version initially. Either a few drops of morning urine under the tongue, or an actual homeopathic dilution.
I have to say, a young adult in my family recently took a good dose of apple cider vinegar, (2 tablespoons -- that's not considered excessive), and had diarrhea for several days afterward.
He has a very mild form of Asperger's autism, and I can't help thinking that as much research suggests, there are issues linked between the intestines and autism. I wonder whether this highly sensitive response has something to do with his different intestinal flora, possibly toxins held there, and so on.
I'm just thinking out loud here, but if I were you, I would take this response as a sign that you should think more about your intestines, and I do suggest trying UT in extremely low dose (just a few drops) or homeopathic form, because it forms an autoimmune "loop" by feeding back to your oral mucosa the immune struggles you may be going through in other parts of your body, thus helping to launch a better and more balanced immune response.
Also, consider that saltiness and strong smell can indicate that you are not drinking enough, that the urine is too concentrated.
As to diet, I personally feel that if you are taking care in your choices, avoiding GMO, and preferring organic, grassfed and wild-caught, you're good to go.
Of course, if you're doing yoga and trying to get into a more transcendent state, you'll make food choices based on that. But for general healing, I believe following your instinct will lead you to what is best for you at the time. For instance, for me, eating raw milk and raw eggs and meat was crucial, even while doing UT, to get the relief I needed.
