I would look into drinking "food-grade (and only food grade) diatomaceous earth" in water. A spoonful every morning, stirred into a glass. Glug-glug. And then another glass of plain water, or water with lemon.
There are so many ways the DE can help. Do some study on it. Also, be SURE to always use good quality water--no flouride or chlorine. And with the D.E., you need to drink lots of water every day. You may get tired at first, and must keep the bowels moving, since you will eliminate more.
Clean and restore the liver, as well.You can do this all yourself, no need for doctors.
Later, you will have better energy. Also, think of culturing food, look at a book called Wild Fermentation, in order to dispel fears about the safety of this. You need the cultured food for the good flora, which you introduce in small amounts--even though you may actually crave lots of it, once you try it.
The colon needs to be clean and clear. >>regular BMs.
Your food should be "clean" too -- nothing processed. Work toward that. Best would be raw, living, plant-based. (fruit and veg. soaked nuts and seeds. Lots of green leafy . . . etc.)
