Re: Any idea where the word "Jesus" comes from?

Here is my understanding from the bible that I've been taught all my life: mother Mary didn't go out in the yard and call for her son "Jesus," she called Yashua. The name Jesus is Greek for Yashua. In English, this name is Joshua. His worldly name isn't nearly so important as His spiritual names: King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Prince of Peace, etc.
