Alternatives to a hernis operation?

I have an inguinal hernia. I've had it for about six months. It doesn't hurt but it does seem to be popping out more and more as time goes by. So are there any alternatives to surgery? If not, do you think that mesh nylon stuff they use to hold things back is safe inside your body? thanks Tweet
