I began taking systemic enzymes (Zymessence: http://docsprefer.com/zymessence.aspx
created by Dr William Wong) about 3 weeks ago. After the first week I noticed spot bleeding and breast tenderness. Now into the third week, I am having full bleeding every day (just like a menstrual cycle). Before this, I hadn't had a period since January, (I'm 53 years old).
I wrote to Doctor Wong about it, and he asked me if I had fibroids, or cysts, or endometriosis . . . He said: "Breast tenderness when taking a systemic enzyme is from scar tissue / fibrosis / cysts being lysed away. I've even lectured on that effect to docs who were fighting fibrocystic breast disease. Break through vaginal bleeding can come from fibroids being lysed (eaten) away. Lectured on that as well. Do you have fibroids, endometriosis or ovarian cysts?"
I was told by a doctor when I was in my 20s that I had endometriosis, but that diagnosis was based on a physical exam, not upon testing of any sort. So I don't know if I have this issue.
What is your opinion about systemic enzymes? I take 3 zymessence a day on an empty stomach. I wonder how long I am going to bleed from this? Do you think this is normal? Am I endangering myself?
My purpose for taking the enzymes is:
1) I had a stool test done that showed I am completely enzyme depleted
2) I've had Rheumatoid Arthritis for at least 7 years and the enzymes are supposed to heal the inflammation in my body.
What is your experience with these issues. Thanks so much for your time.
