Good post, Xylitol is OK for many, but certainly not all those with a yeast infection, I have found Stevia to be the same. It is really trial and error! Many patients can handle them both, but only in small amounts and best not at the beginning of treatment. I prefer to "hold off" with teh Sugar substitutes until they have been on the eating plan for at least two to three weeks. This gives me chance to reduce the numbers of dysbiotic bacteria and bring a different diet approach in. If you just stop ALL sugars and then quickly allow lots of Xylitol and Stevia into the diet, little benefit will be gained.
