I grew up and still live in Alaska not much of anything is grown up here other than potatoes, carrots, some cabbage, heads of lettuce and pumpkins (mostly for size for the fair they get like 1,000lbs here from all the daylight) ohh and zucchini grow fantastic here thats about it no fruits other than some people can get strawberries to grow and of course berries salmonberries, blueberries, cranberries. So for much more of a variety i have to purchase food brought in from other places downstates. Alot of people here rely on red salmon, moose, caribou, goat and deer here for meat or halibut and shrimp, rockfish ect. some people eat black bear i never have.
My big addiction is dairy which i have completely cut out as of this fast i just cant control myself its a very strong bad addiction or was and i feel fantastic!..... :) I want to go mostly raw vegan with about 10% game meat and beans and maybe very rarely brown rice or quinoa ( i craved beans black plain on the fast!) nuts and seeds (sprouted). For me this is a huge change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont think i could be a 100% full vegan or 100% fruitarian i like variety and tend to get bored of foods fast. some of my foods will be cooked at times but will try to eat most raw i realize it is way healthier and i want to get there 100% just dont think i can right now esp coming off fasts i cooked veggie broth drank that then took the veggies to the vitamix and made a sorta soup with it it was awesome tasting!thats all ive had and 1 banana and a few pieces of watermelon. I'm making venison stew for my husband tonight (interesting note: our deer are out on the islands in the sound and they eat alot of seaweed off the beaches and taste TOTALLy different than downstates deer actually much better much! :) Thanks for your insights everyone
I will be ending my 24hr fasts with fruit and veggies only those days (smoothies and juices or raw) thanks
another note you can spend 7$ on 2 apples here where i live!! eek
