I agree with everything said here *but* the dry fasting. I For most people, that's too radical a leap. It would likely, however, tend to get your mind off the feeling of being backed up. :-) (seriously though, I've never dry fasted. So I'm not speaking from experience)
I would be sipping hot boiled water, which can help with speeding things along, and doing EFT (or googling it to learn it) to undo the repetitive loop of thinking/feeling.
But definitely, do NOT ever do a salt water flush while water fasting. Only do that *before* the fast.
