Perimenopause and temperature fluctuations

I am hypo T and still working on trying to get my temperature to 98.6. I've been checking it almost daily. I notice that during the 2nd half of menstrual cycle it is over 98 and gets close to 99 right before period. I actually feel warm like normal people. The first half I'm freezing cold with a 97.5 temperature and when I wake up my body is literally cold to the touch underneath a down comforter! Should I be trying to get my temperature steady throughout the month or is this normal and leave it alone? I am still on synthroid because I am chicken of switching to Naturethroid:).
