Hmm. Actually it looks like a negative result here. I called pdc and wanted to get a little bit more information about the test. All I could gather is they are testing a person's antibodies. I guess it is similiar to a titer test. Where they are looking at the antibodies generated from the immune system.

I was taking daxon when I took the test but honestly I don't think it should matter since they are testing antibodies anyways. When I asked if there was anything I could do to somehow make the test more accurate I didn't really get any response from that.

I would feel alot better if they were checking the cathepsin L like most of the articles that I saw on pubmed. It doesn't look like this lab does that, so I don't know. This stuff is over my head again. I was under the impression that at some point the eosinophils would be raised. Maybe early on in the infection at which point it seems antibodies would be generated and the test would come out positive. Another wierd thing is she specifically said the lab tests for IgG antibodies. I spoke with her about the time duration that it takes for those antigen markers to be presented. Sometimes it takes months for them to be presented and she said that would be the case. So, I don't know, from what I saw on pubmed testing for the cathepsin L seems like it would be more accurate. But, they don't do that. Yeah. I don't know.
