Re: New to Group. Detox struggles.

*what Ginagirl said* and...

I used to get a couple of "sinus infections" a year. Or so I thought. When I gave up gluten those sinus infections magically disappeared . I also used to have exercise resistant weight issues. Not so since giving up gluten. A couple of introductory links:

Dr. Davis focuses on wheat moreso than gluten but his blog is chock-full of good info.

Also, THE repository for celiac & gluten-free info:

A lot of people cannot imagine giving up gluten, I cannot imagine ever eating it again, I feel so amazingly well. Cravings are gone, feeling out-of-control is gone, weight issues are gone, random aches and pains are gone. I feel like a teenager:)

Pain is a good sign. It means that the Iodine is working, m'dear. A LOT of posters have reported breast pain. I experienced it, from full-on pain to a feeling of electrical energy. Please review this thread below and follow the links in the thread:

When I was on the protocol I wore a sportsbra that was just enough too big that it did not impede lymph flow. Best to go braless but we know that that is not always possible. Go braless when you can though.

Prepare yourself for new breasts:)

You're using magnesium, aren't you? That should help with the palpitations.
An occasional epsoms salt bath helps, don't overuse as it can dry out the skin.

As far as the emotional stuff, just hang in there. You're in for a whirlwind. A lot of us have "found our voice" with this and sometimes we need to watch that, in personal relationships, like, ummm HUSBANDS. Just hang in there. Find an outlet for your "negative" emotions. Negative in quotes because there really is no such thing. Anger and Depression are natural and they are states that need to be worked through and used to gain further understanding of ourselves. gaaah, that sounds kinda hippy-dippy, huh? oh well, best I can do right now:)

and, WELCOME!!!
