Played golf Barefoot... what a good day!!
What a day!! I got on to UPS.com and found out that my very first barefoot order will be here friday. I then went to allaboutchi.com and ordered the chi machine everyone was so gracious to help me find, it's going to be here at the latest by.... friday. It'll be Christmas in May that day!! I went and bought my first practice range pass in 5 years and hit 2 buckets of balls in the 75+ degree weather, it was awesome!! About 10 balls in I decided to take off my shoes, ala' Sam Snead, and practice with a training device that I bought in 2001 and holy cow!!! This club is a normal 5 iron, except it has a shaft that's as flexible as a rubber hose and any attempt to "hit" the ball instead of swinging the club results in very embarassing shots. Long story longer (sorry, I'm just TOO excited) 5 years ago I couldn't even get balls in the air with this deal, much less worry about hitting it like a normal 5 iron, even though I had gotten down to about a 10 handicap in 3 summers of playing and was a pretty good player. Well today I just kept puring them and puring them, IN MY BARE FEET!! It was effortless. I heard a few guys laughing at me, until they saw me smoking my regular clubs between whippy swings. As you might tell, golf means a lot to me. It was one of the first things that I lost when my addiction to pain killers grabbed me by the throat 5 years ago, and now God's letting me have it back, and it's better than before!! Just like the "health thing". 5-8 years ago I thought health was chicken, tuna, whole wheat bread, 3 hours a day in the gym, creatine, protein bars and shakes, ect. Then I lost all that in my oxycontin years, and look at where I am now!! Curesone sure beats GNC!!! If you made it to the end of this long, and pretty much pointless post, thanks for reading!! Take care all!!!
