Yeah, well I spoke with the receptionist. They prefer to have either an internist/immuniologist or a parasitic disease doctor make the lab request. What I would do is take a print out of their tests offered and bring it with me to the doctors office. I never saw an ELISA test for any parasitic infection on the standard requisition sheet from the hospital. It doesn't mean it isn't there, I just didn't see it. If it was there, they should have run it by now.

If you doctor refuses to run it then go to another one. The receptionist said after I told her how many doctors I have seen for this infection that the family medical doctor at my indian clinic could order the test.

I would bring the sheet of paper that has the ELISA tests on it. Try to pick out the one that you believe you have and then find out a way to get the blood draw done and sent out. I'm nearly positive that labcorp or quest labs would do it for a small fee. I haven't tried this yet though.
