75 percent of the total volume of waste are plastic. And when the plastic breaks down into small particles, confused it with plankton and end up in the food chain as food for fish, turtles and other sea creatures. Micro Plastics is a highly resistant form of plastic degradation upon thousands of years. Zooplankton and other animals that filter the water industry can access the system and perish, but even more serious is that microplastic could also transport pollutants into the base level of the food chain. This is then accumulated up the food chain, ultimately to form very large concentrations."

The question is how, and when it is removed; what to do with it. If done right(recycling?, energy production?) it could even accumulate a business. If not, who`s going to be the next Naples?
