Zirconia is an excellent no compromise choice however it is more expensive than gold I believe as I paid upwards of 2000 for just one crown. Also you make an excellent point over the galvanic action. The only metal I have in my mouth now is the titanium implant under my only crown.

Awesome you have a job building bridges instead of walls.

I fought the war against tooth decay in the USAF just post Nam era as a dental tech. The brightest enlistees worked in the dental lab down the hall building bridges and such.
