Re: Diet + antiparasitic medications

The thing is, I disagree with a notion that states "all carbs are unhealthy"

I believe this to be far from the truth, as long as by "Carbs" you dont mean white bread and cookies. My diet before infection was high-carb/low-fat, and I never felt better. I always got my servings of veggies and fruits everyday too.

I know that ALL carbs turn into glucose. So maybe carbs in the diet DOES affect medication? Or maybe the medication is NOT affected by diet in that regard?

I am unsure what to think

On the other hand, with the majority of these meds, you have to eat high fat meals for absorption, which usually is accompanied by at least some carbs to make it truly a meal, instead of just downing pure fat.

Interested to see what everyone thinks
