Canine Cushing's - in need of support

My best friend has Cushing's. This does not appear to be something that will be cured. Nonetheless I'm looking for some remedies to help alleviate the condition and help my elderly friend maintain some quality of life while living out his remaining days.

In browsing posts across various forums at CZ there are a few that briefly touch on this particular condition but not a lot of details. One of them was posted here at Trapper's forum several years ago -

- and there are some things I wonder about with that particular thread. It was initiated by Luella who herself appeared to be looking for support of Canine Cushing's.

Trapper, you were one of few who provided some advice - Colloidal Silver as well as iodine added to Hempseed Oil and then mixed with dry or wet dog food. Question - is this remedy still considered to be helpful? One of the reasons I ask is that Luella has since contributed to more recent postsb on the same basic topic, however, while she now suggests particular products / supplements ( a brand of drops ), CS and Iodinated feed are not among the things she advises...so it makes me wonder if she did not reap any benefits from the latter.

Thank you for your support and Happy New year to all.
