Okay, all of my SAD life I have had beautiful fingernails. Strong smooth ect. I was complimented on them all the time. I also habitually chewed them from the time I could remember. Very much a nerves issue. I stopped cold turkey 5 years ago and up until october I'd just let them grow out, slowly nibble each one off in one piece as I had a phobia of clipping them, and them file them down. I decided to start clipping last fall, and finally got the hang of it. Long story a little longer, now my nails have developed these insane verticle ridges, and they chip all the time. I have four broken down to the quick right now and one is so bad I'm afraid that it could literally split in half down to the bed. What could be or is causing this? ANY insight or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
