maybe the brussel sprouts would be a helpful thing. I am a little confused about this. The fmo is in the phase 1 detox pathway. The brussel sprouts increase the phase 2 pathway that mainly helps eliminate the toxins, xenobiotics, thru the addition of sulfer I am assuming. Studies have shown it that brussel sprouts increase levels of Glutathione s transferase. Egaten resistant flukes have higher levels of glutathione s transferase measured. However, since I am only concerned at slowing down the fmo (phase 1) pathway to increase exposure time of the medicine with the fluke it seems that phase 2 pathway isn't as important after all. Who cares if the phase 2 pathway is working better. So, they can clear the triclabendazole sulphone and tric sulfoxide more readily but I think the important part would be slowing the conversion and metabolism of the drugs down to get maximum exposure. So, if that line of thinking is correct, then brussel sprouts would be a relatively easy, safe way to slow down the fmo.
I'm not saying this is the best thing to do for all people. Especially if people are taking perscription drugs from doctors. All of these inhibitors would enhance the drugs efficiency. i just dont know what else to do for resistant flukes.
