Probably more to do with your Liver. Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) results in an increase in blood levels of Uric Acid which is the culprit associated with Gout. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2904389/
20-30% of Westerners have NAFLD to one degree or another because of poor diets, high in fats, sugars, and carbs that are converted easily to sugars, or High Glycemic Index foods. NAFLD is reversible, and requires that Bile Flow is restored. Slow Bile flow occurs when the liver is overloaded and the back up of bile contributes to NAFLD. So, if I were in your position, I would flush every two weeks per the Clark Protocol, until the symptoms are completely eliminated.
That's just my best guess based upon the medical literature.
