Re: Digestive Enzymes feed candida?

When I had leaky gut I had to be very careful with betaine HCL. I know everyone's different but when I took two 600 mg. one time because I over-ate on chicken, my stomach burned and upper small intestine was very upset and hostile with a queasy, hot and raw sensation. A coated tongue can be a sign of undigested food, in which case digestive enzymes are very useful. Is there a reason you would only take betaine HCL by itself? Anyway, I found some intelligent explanation on its function and uses here: http://www.modernherbalist.com/betaine.html
