Thats exactly what I was sayin in my last post. Skin never stops renewing itself, its just that with this condition the process is so much faster.
The kissing is only one of many things that helped erode the outer layers of skin - along with all the other factor. From then on it has been a process of repair.
If left alone, yes it would heal. that is what i had implied, that the attention, application of ointments and balms, trying to fix it, is what has not allowed it to heal. Tweet
