He improved the formula, in my humble opine :). It has worked wonders for me (Primal Defense Ultra that is) - candida used to make me stutter -STUTTER! - and that stopped almost immediately after the primal defense. People around me were amazed at my improvement within weeks of taking it.
It sounds like what may be bothering some people is the cost - there are certainly cheaper probiotics. And people have different budgets, and things work differently for different people. You have to do your own research, and decide for yourself if it is worth the cost to try and see if it works for you.
One thing most people agree on is fermented veggies as a good source of probiotics. Most people can afford this. Homemade kefir is another good source of probiotics, if you ferment it at least 36 hours so the sugars are gone! There are lots of ways to get the good stuff, even on a limited budget. I've also heard good stuff about ThreeLac, even though I haven't tried it myself. Continental Acidophilus is another good brand. The main thing is to get good quality probiotics, not the cheap stuff from the health food store which don't make it to your intestines.
Hopefully we can all agree that there are real solutions out there, and will work together to come up with them to help each other out despite our differences of opinion;). I think that is the point of a support forum ;).
