There is probably not one person who can say they have never thought about suicide. We all have. Sometimes when life seems so bleak and nothing is ever going to be right, it just seems to be the right answer to end our problems. But, Adey, it's not your right to decide whether you live or die. You have been placed on this earth for a purpose. You may not see it right now, but there is a purpose in your life.

I'm not going to tell you that your life will get better because I don't know that answer. But, I can tell you from experience that suicide is the easy way out and a coward's way out and you just leave a lot of miserable people behind who miss you more than words can say. A long time ago, on this website, I shared a very painful story. My first marriage ended in 1989 after 18 years. My 1st husband could be a perfectly charming and a wonderful and a good man. But, he had a lot of inner demons he never could conquer. August, 2000, he chose to end his life with a single shot to his chest. He thought he had planned his suicide so well and that our adult children would be well provided for. He had already packed everything in his house and had everything labeled. I guess he thought it would make things "easier." I know in his heart he thought everything would be better without him being around.

How wrong he was. Once the lawyers got ahold of the money, there was nothing left. My adult children had to have an estate sale to raise money for all the unexpected expenses that coming up. What he left behind was a void that can never be filled. My grandchildren will never hear his wonderful laugh and how he could talk just like Donald Duck. He would have been a wonderful Grandfather. Holidays are now sad.

So, please! please! think about what you would leave behind---a lot of guilt-ridden people trying to make sense of what you have done and what they could have done or should have done to prevent your death.

You are very unique. There is not and never will be another YOU! You are loved. People on this website care about you. So, stay here and make your mark on this world!
